Zivaa is a search engine, powered by Google's Search
Technology, dedicated to supporting charity
organizations and environmental causes
globally. The
reason for posting these figures is to bring about
an awareness of how bad Global Poverty really is.
We truly want an awareness to come around based on
facts and number and this is what we try to achieve
with these posts. Hope this helps in realizing our
blessings and realizing our responsibility towards
the less fortunate.

CHILDHOOD UNDER THREAT
Unicef defines "Childhood" as "the state and condition of a child’s life: to the quality of those years". Meaning its much more than just the space between birth and the attainment of adulthood its the quality of life.

Here are some facts:

Total Number of Children in the world 2.2 Billion

Number of Children living in Poverty 1.0 Billion

1 in 2
of which

Children without adequate Shelter 640Million

1 in 3
Children without access to safe water 400Million

1 in 5
Children without access to Health service 270Million

1 in 7

These are astronomical figures. To put the above table in perspective the Total world Population is 6.773 Billion. This means that 1 in every 6 person on this earth lives in poverty and that's only children.
